Vanessa Fox O’Loughlin founded The Inkwell Group, Ireland’s leading publishing consultancy in 2006. In 2011 she launched writing.ie, the Irish national online writing magazine. As a literary scout Vanessa works with new authors to perfect their work and has assisted many to publication including many bestselling and award winning authors. She works closely with several of Ireland and the UK’s leading agents to place authors, and recently was instrumental in Simon Trewin of WME achieving a six figure pre-empt from HarperFiction for Irish crime writer Jax Miller.
Vanessa conceived and developed the National Emerging Writer Programme for Dublin City of Literature in 2013. 135 minutes of video available freely on YouTube and in libraries on DVD, Vanessa talks writing to Carlo Gebler, Sinead Moriarty Declan Hughes.
Vanessa is incoming Chair of Irish PEN and the Irish and Eurozone adviser to the international organisation, the Alliance of Independent Authors.

Three hours of mentoring via email and telephone – couldn’t manage this every week though! I could mentor one writer per month and give them enough info/help to get them moving on their own script – am a bit swamped but do a lot of pro bono work and have to balance it with actually earning!
