I began my career at Walker Books in 2008 before moving to work at a small foreign rights agency, where I eventually managed the children’s and YA list, including handling foreign rights for books such as THE HUNGER GAMES trilogy and the PADDINGTON novels. I then moved into film/television for several years in order to broaden my experiences (working primarily with Peppa Pig!). In my role at Zeno, I’m helping to expand the agency by building a list of children’s, literary fiction and fantasy authors. I absolutely love reading children’s fiction, anything from age 8+, but especially young adult romance, dystopia or psychological thrillers. As a point of reference, one of my favourite YA novels is THE GOSSIP OF THE STARLINGS by Nina de Gramont, it’s her beautiful style of prose combined with the dark subject matter and focus on female friendships that really pulls me in and is something that I’d absolutely love to find for myself! On the other hand, a book that makes me laugh (think ANGUS, THONGS AND FULL FRONTAL SNOGGING) would be a brilliant find as well!
