My debut novel Jubilee (Weidenfeld & Nicolson 2012) was selected for the Richard and Judy Book Club, shortlisted for the Commonwealth Book Prize, and broadcast as a Radio 4 Book At Bedtime. My second novel, Vigilante, was published in January. If you’re writing literary fiction (in its broadest sense) and you’d like empathetic support as well as constructive feedback, please get in touch.

I’m especially keen to mentor writers who are living on a low income, and I’m happy to mentor in whichever way is most useful to the writer and fits our mutual geography: either in person or by Skype, phone or email. In total I’m offering three hours of mentoring in addition to an initial chat so we can decide the best way to proceed. Cake will almost certainly be involved at some point.
