Amy Mason is an award-winning novelist and theatre maker who works between London and Bristol. Her work is funny, dark, and often features female outsiders. She won the 2014 Dundee International Book Prize for her novel The Other Ida (Cargo), and her show The Islanders (which she wrote and performed in) won the Ideas Tap/Underbelly Fringe Fund and toured nationally. Her most recent show, Mass, deals with her relationship with faith, and her new show, Pepper’s Ghost, is in development with Bristol Old Vic. Amy left school at 16 and became a writer by attending adult ed classes and receiving mentoring from other writers.
