A J Ashworth photoA. J. Ashworth is the author of the short story collection ‘Somewhere Else, or Even Here’ which won Salt Publishing’s Scott Prize and was shortlisted for the Edge Hill Prize. She is the editor of ‘Red Room: New Short Stories Inspired by the Brontës’ and is the recipient of Arts Council England funding and a Society of Authors K. Blundell Trust Award for her novel-in-progress. She is a Hawthornden Fellow for 2014.

I’m offering two hours of mentoring via email, in person or by telephone – for example, this may mean reading and commenting on up to 5000 words of prose and then an hour-long session to discuss the piece of work. I am happy to be led by the mentee though if they would like to use the time in another way.
