In January 2014, I moved to Bristol to work for the publishing company, Intellect – an independent academic publisher of scholarly books and journals, specializing in the fields of creative practice and popular culture. I project manage books and journals through the entire production process, from the peer-review, copy-editing and typesetting right through to print, working closely and collaboratively with authors and editors at all stages of production. I am also part of the team at Intellect who meet monthly to discuss book proposals and pick which titles we feel will be a successful fit with our brand.
Prior to this I worked for the editorial and design departments at Thames and Hudson publishers as well as interning for the literary agency at Curtis Brown. I have a degree in Photography so am a huge fan of books on art and culture. I absolutely love working within publishing and enjoy nothing more than sitting down with a great book both fiction and non-fiction.
